Just saw Cspan on the congressional hearings on vaccinations. I think I just heard the NIH admit they are considering thimerasol as a possible source for cause of ADD and speech and language probs in children. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of any official suspicion of a cause and effect in vaccinations.
Anyone else (Dad?) catch this.
Nothing definitive, but
I gathered that they are only beginning the investigation, but the more I read and hear about Thimerasol-the more toxic it sounds…. Interesting i never could use contact solution when they went to chemical solution-it now appears it was sterilized with Thimerasol since allthe bottles NOW say thimerasol free. I also noted pharmacies are quietly taking all mercury thermometers off the mkt. Some Dr’s apparently say their patients are so sensitive that they get reactions thru the glass. Anyway the only action that can be taken I think is to do a search for the detailed email Dad wrote once on how to test for blood levels and chelation. I am seriously considering having my son’s levels tested just to see. I’m cursing those Hep B vaccinations I so dutifully went back for.
thimerosal
I must start by saying any connection between the use of thimerosal as a vaccine preservative and neurological problems is still theoretical. The CDC and FDA have been bucking this very hard because of the threat to the vaccination program, and because it will create a huge liability because of absense of testing prior to the use of ethyl-mercury as a component of vaccines.
Here is a really good site to learn about the “theory” of thimerosal as it relates to autism. The same mechanism will hold true for ADD, just a different area of the brain impacted.

The Not-So-Crackpot Autism Theory
I saw this too, last week.
I am really worried about it myself but fear if I react and ask questions, I will be treated as the hysterical mother; yet this was VERY disturbing to me.
I would like to know if and how there is a way to test for whether your child fits the profile of the disabilities brought on by thimerasol. Right now it sounds like its just a guess.
