I have taken the 30 hour Orton-Gillingham course and would like to start tutoring LD children to read. I have worked as a Paraprofessional at one of our schools with autistic children and enjoyed the responce once I made contact.
I am not sure how to go about starting out tutoring as Orton-Gillingham is not really well known here.
Any ides would be greatly appreciated

tutoring Orton-Gillingham
You might start by letting schools near you know that you offer this service. Maybe a card to put up on the bulliten board of the staff room. They can then recommend you as a resource for parents.
Another place you might see if you can advertise is your local library.
Put up flyers.
Re: tutoring Orton-Gillingham
I know it has been a few months since your post but I am new to the site and have been reading alot of old posts today. I have been thinking about taking this course, what did you think of it? Have you started tutoring any one yet? I live in a small town and my ds has Dylexia. I have few resources here so I would like to become a tutor to help him and others. I was hoping to do this as a part-time job. Did you take the Orton-Gillinaham cource online?
well, all I can say is I wish you lived closer to me, I would love to find someone who is orton-gillingham trained, I have read a lot on this tutoring and would love to have it for my daughter, but tutoring is so expensive and the closest place I found that teaches this method is about 50 miles from where I live. It is sad that their are people out their wanting to help children, but us as parents have to pay so much for this, and most of us cannot afford it, so much for no child left behind, my child is getting left behind because of beurocratic bs, and no school funding for these types of programs that would actually help a child, so sad. Good luck with you though!!
