Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Just wanted to invite you to a Wright’s Law conference which will be held in Charlotte, NC on Friday, September 26th! I am very excited about attending this conference. I am able to go because I don’t teach on Fridays. Let me know if you can attend and we’ll try to meet!

Janis,

You are in for treat. We had one last March and it was awesome.

Better speed up your hearing, tho., Pete’s ADHD, Dyslexic and OCD and by the end of the 2nd day we couldn’t hear fast enough!

He said he didn’t take as much med., and drink enough coffee on the 2nd day (I wondered if he did it on purpose to show the audience). All the teachers were just “shaking their heads”. I think he reminded them of a few students in their classes.

Hi, RA,

I found a link with the details and registration form. Let me know if you decide to go!

Leah, that is pretty funny! He is doing a one day conference this time, so maybe we won’t see those behaviors! Lol! I’m very glad to know it was good, though. Just hard to pass up when it’s only an hour away.

I went to a one day conference last year. It was great! He does move through the material very fast. He teaches how to use his books to find information when you need it. Very valuable information! I’m dyslexic myself and had a hard time keeping up. Fortunately, I went with a good friend who was able to keep me on the right page. It’s also good to go with a friend so you can talk to eachother about it later. It’s helped me to retain information over time. We’ve used that information since then, both successfully negotiating our way through some form a mediation since then. Her battle was a big one but her son is now attending a $60,000 a year program paid for by his school district. The conference was worth every penny and every minute spent!
