I was wondering if there are any Music Scholarships for Children with LD.
My son is now a solphmore in High School and he told me that he wants to Major in Music and hopefully play on a College Marching Band. He is very good with his music, he plays the Tenor Saxophone but can also play other instruments, so with a child with LD it’s the only thing he feels he is good at. So I am looking for any suggestions and hopefully by the time he is a senior I can have all the information so He can hopefully get his Music.Scholarship in a College that will except him
I don’t know of any music scholarships *especially* for students with LDs. However, music scholarships would look at music more than SAT scores, I would think!
I would look at the schools’ catalogs, which generally list their scholarships and the criteria. Ideally you’d find a school with a good music program and a good LD support program — and since many folks with LDs head towards cre creative arts areas, that’s not too absurd a combination.
