Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Thought this might be of interest to Minnesotans with learning disabilities looking for post-secondary options:

“LD/ADHD College & Post-Secondary Opportunities Fair
Monday, Oct. 6, 2008
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Public and private post-secondary institutions that have special education programs and services in place are invited to exhibit at the Groves College Fair. This includes universities, four-year colleges, community colleges, and vocational/technical schools. Some professional services, including learning specialists and college counselors, will also be represented. Everyone who attends the college fair will receive a complimentary Post-Secondary Guide that contains information about the colleges represented at the fair as well as essential information to help students who have learning or attention difficulties prepare for life after graduation.

For more information visit http://www.grovesacademy.org/Documents/CC.CF%20Registration%20Brochure%2008%20pdf1.pdf or call 952-920-6377. There is no charge to attend the Groves College Fair and no pre-registration is required for attendees.”

There’s also a conference a few days before on the same topic:

Groves Academy is putting on this fair again this year. I went last year and it was pretty useful; a fair number of colleges with knowledgeable representatives. If you live in MN or near enough to Minneapolis-St. Paul that it wouldn’t be too hard to come, I would definitely recommend it. Here’s the link to Groves Academy’s website:

They also gave out free guides that had all sorts of great info about getting ready to go to college if you’re an LD student. You can download it at the website above, but here it is directly, too:

Enjoy! Hope it helps some of you.
