PASSWORD>aaypjoGdHk2QkSomeone told me about the Pace program which is part of the National University in Evanston, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It is a residential program, part of which is vocational and holding down a job, while taking course. In the dorms, I understand they emphasize independent living skills. The kids are a mix of NLD, Asperger’s, and very high functioning MR. If they can handle it, they may take college courses for credit at National.A similar program, I think, is at New York Institute of Technology in Islip, NY on Long Island. My information is based on word of mouth, my own child is looking for a traditional college experience with LD, so I haven’t personally gleaned this info.Hope it helps.: Has anyone had experience with colleges who accomodate/support kids
: with nonverbal learning disabilities, including a supportive
: residential environment? Kathy
