We’re finding it difficult at the high school level to keep within the 70/30 guidlines for inclusion classes. We see the electives for special ed students consisting of mostly tech and home ec. classes and it really throws off the percentages. Any ideas as to how you handle this at your school??
??
What are the 70/30 guidelines? (Obviously if somebody doesn’t know what they are, they probably aren’t gonig to be dealing with this at their school, but who knows?)
Are the students supposed to have at least 70% inclusion, or the classes supposed to have 30% sped kids, or some other interpretation?
