I am looking to implement a point system that is not too time consuming which give tangible rewards and reward such as free time, homework passes, good notes/phone calls home, etc. I have about 11 students in my class. Please help with sugestions. Thank you.
I gave my students progress reports for each subject. Each A was worth 10 bucks, a B worth $5 a C nothing a D you pay $5 AND AN F you pay $10 bucks. The student only got the money deposited after the progress report was returned signed the following Monday. I had a magnetic dart board. If the child brought it back the first day. they got more $ depending on what the dart said.
I wrote out all the rules. I highlighted problem areas. I encourged parents to have a mini conference with their child when signing the blue Progess Report. I modeled this at Open House.
THe grades were dependent on behavior and attending. I then put a check on one of the following
___The student is making great progress on IEP goals
___The student is making average progress on IEP goals
___The student is not making enough progress.TY Bates wrote:
