Has anyone ever heard of a program called braingym that supposedly works with the kinesiology and the brain to develop nueropathways? It uses specific exercises to stimulute the brain to better develop it’s neurology. I think it is an iteresting concept and was wondering if any of you have heard of it. The web site is braingym.org.

we tried it all of last summer with dd, thank god insurance paid for it ! May work for some but did nothing for her.

My daughter was taught braingym in the 3rd grade.It was part of her OT.She was having panic attacks in the classroom.Now she uses the techniques taught to calm herself.The OT instructor came in to her classroom and showed the entire class some of the exercises.I would recommend this program for all children.My daughter no longer needs an adult to help her overcome her anziety.She does it all by herself.
I have one of their books and have done some of the exercises. We did it prior to starting another therapy program so can’t say anything really about effects. I know another mom whose OT gave her exercises from the book so I think it is a reasonable approach.
