Ok, I went to 1st grade in1976. The teacher used manipulatives to teach math. You know, ones, tens, hundreds blocks. The teacher had a progam that had some worksheets where I had to put the little blocks on the picture on the page. For example, there was a shape equal to ‘ten’. I had to fill the spot with my ‘one’s blocks, and then count them and see that it took ten ‘ones’ to fill the shape. Then I had to use the ‘tens’ block to fill the space and see that it took one ‘ten’ to make ten. Then I had to do the same sort of thing with a shape equal to 11, 12, etc., all the way up to 100 or more.
I have been trying to find worksheets like these, or to identify what program this was. This was in California, btw. Anyone have any idea what this program was called or know of any program like it that has ready-made worksheets like this?
Thanks,
Lisaa
