I’ve got a fourth grader who responds unbelievably well when using a blue overlay—those transparency thingies. Unfortunately, its so beat up, it’s barely usable. Anybody know the “tech term” for these and where I can get new ones?
Last time I saw them was at the Oklahoma Teacher’s Conference. Thanks.
Re: color overlays -- connections
These things are sold under the name of the Irlen system. A lot of people on the IDA board promote it — you can get sources there. Also the Masons, Scottish Rite Cenmters, apparently have used these. I’m willing to believe they can help with visual problems, but they make a lot of snake-oil promises which I’d advise you to take with a grain of salt.

Are you talking about ovehead transparencies? They are available at any office supply store, such as Office Max. I’m not sure thisis what you are talking about. You could try Kinko.
