My son has worked with the Orton Gillingham method, the instructor is no longer available. the school has one person trained in Wilson, none in Orton. The Learning House located in Guilford, Ct. does not have an instructer available. Would anyone know of a resource where I can contact someone to visit the High School, every other day for a one hour instruction, paid by the BOE. This would be the South Central connecticut area, New Haven County. thanks
Re: Connecticut tutor needed
Also you can try iser.com
I understand that Wilson is Orton-based (Des, jump in here with expertise??) so maybe that change is not as bad as it seems.
Your best bet would probably to contact your local branch of the International Dyslexia Assocation (formerly the Orton Society); there are listings of the branches in the “LD Resources” here I think (assuming it’s the same as “Finding help” used to be!) or at the IDA website, www.interdys.org
