I am a coordinator for student services in Bangkok Thailand. Prior to this overseas experience, I spent my career in public schools in Washington State. My question has to do with diagnosing special education - LD students. I have a new teacher who is from Great Britain. Just recently, she said that LD is not diagnosed using descrepancy tables in the UK, but anyone with a IQ between 70 - 130 are identified as LD. Can anyone participating in the Forum share anything you might know about the rules/regulations from the UK?
Thanks in advance for any input.
