Do you have an accelerated learner in one or more areas who may/may not have a LD. Are you always looking for ways to find/use/tweak curriculum to meet your child’s needs?
Well, I had that same problem. My son is gifted with PDD. I needed to have on hand lots of ways to stimulate the gifted areas and deal with the LD too. I was looking for creative and different curriculums and I didn’t know how to find them.
This is a national/international forum just for these kinds of questions. Member are from all over the world and there are a few that don’t homeschool, but find the information useful.
There is an ever-growing database on such topics as curriculum, supplements, summer camps, distance learning, homeschool magazines/newsletters, Gifted - LD - Gifted with LD resources and lots of free sites for information/learning/games/activities/downloads, that is accessible to all members without having to go through the archives to find the information you may want.
Everyone is invited to join and participate in the discussions. There are members there who have a variety of LD’s including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, AD/HD, Autistic Spectrum and reading comprehension problems. www.groups.yahoo.com/group/HomeschoolingExtraordinaryKids
