I found one website and ordered a few of this site but I’m looking for more.
http://www.songsforteaching.com/
FOr example, I’m looking for a song or CD for teaching the parts of a letter, where you point to your head for heading, mouth for salutation etc….
DOes anyone have any website links or books to recommend?
Things to teach cause/effect, genre, sources, author’s purpose, point of view , sources or anything like this?
I have found music and movement to be a great way for kids to retain information but I can’t SING at all. I need to buy stuff or it won’t happen.
I did find one tape that was all instumentals and I am having some kids come up with their own that has worked.
Thanks for any help or advice.

Re: Do u have songs that teach?
You might try searching for songs written by Fred Rogers or those done on Sesame Street. They might not have the exact thing you’re looking for, but both shows had an incredible wealth of quality children’s music. Records by both can be readily found at garage sales, flea markets and ad hoc shops cheap, cheap, cheap. You may have to get one of your computer techs to switch old records over to digital for your convenience of use.
Never underestimate the power of music to reach people!
Check out Woody Guthrie songs - there’s one called “Tell me why, oh why” that’s great :)
