Hi, My name is Jaclyn and I am a friendly, warm, caring, patient and educated teacher. My life was, and currently is centered around teaching children. I have a degree in early childhood and special education.I have been a teacher for 10 years with 15 years experience with teaching and tutoring. I have taught Kindergarten through fifth grade students. I have specialized programs and materials that I currently teach. I know what each individual student needs. I tutor students from preschool to fifth grade with the following subjects (Phonics, reading, writing and math). I teach study skills and organizational skills as well. I am passionate about tutoring because I believe that individualized instruction is beneficial and essential for students to succeed and retain skills that are taught. I love to be able to teach a child new concepts and make them feel good about themselves.
I have an excellent multi-sensory program I used in school districts and tutoring. I was trained in the Sonday System Program for example, to teach children phonics, reading and writing. This program is structured and taught in a direct instruction way to help children learn and retain the information to their fullest potential. I have taught and currently teach this program for years and my students show tremendous progress. I have references from professionals and parents.
