First let me apologize if this post is considered off topic. There are times in my classroom when students have to strain to hear their classmates reading a piece they have written. I have been trying to find a simple handheld battery -operated microphone to alleviate this problem. All the ones I see in catalogs require major electronic systems. Does anyone know where I could find one?

I don’t know if you have a “Big Lots” where you live, but I have seen them in there. Targets and Wal-Mart have the hand held ones. If you can not find them in there look at a music store or “Radio Shack”.
