Parents Active for Vision Education (P.A.V.E.) is a non profit resource and support organization whose mission is to raise public awareness of the crucual relationship between vision and achievement.
PAVE was founded by parents and teachers with children in their homes and classrooms who have suffered the effects of undiagnosed vision problems. Please see www.pavevision.org for much more information.
Our son was thought to have “behaviors” which caused him to “always omit words while writing.”
He was diagnosed and treated with vision therapy for 2 vision problems. Now he wants to be a writer! Now he gets consistent good grades. He aced the standardized test.
If you readers know of any children who are having any academic issues whatsoever, please insist that the parents get a comprehensive vision exam for the student. Please start with the comprehensive vison exam, well before you suggest any psychological studies!
