Inclusion

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am a perspective teacher due to graduate in December. I am looking for ideas about how to vary activities and include all students as much as possible regardless of learning styles and needs. Any responses would help me. Thanks!

Timed tests and memorization based tests are to me the two practices in education that exclude, rather than include, all students. My quick opinion would be that if your classroom does not give timed tests or memorization based tests you will have taken giant steps toward including all students ‘as much as possible regardless of learning styles and needs’.

Good luck.
