What inclusive strategies can i use in a physical education class that has students that are physically disabled and still give all the students the same learning experience that they deserve?

Allow the student who is physically disabled to use the part of body they can use. Ex. If a child is in a wheelchair they can use their hands or legs to play volleyball, kickball.
During excercise- if the child has more mobility of the arms then try to do alot of exercises concerning the arms (ex. jumping jacks, arm reaches, arm rotations) this way all the children are participating and the child who is disabled does not feel left out or let him/her lead the exercise.
You can also do group work. This way the students will find a way to incorporate the child with the disability.
Allow the student to be your helper sometimes. (score keeper, get equipment)
Lastly ask the special ed teacher the best way to include this child.
Just remember children with disiabilities know they can’t do certain things so don’t feel bad if they are left out ever now and then, just explain to them that what ever it is they can’t do like the other children you will show them another way or a better way to do it than everbody else. Encourage them.
Adaptive PE taught me alot of ways to include children with disabilitiesKristen wrote:
