LD

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am really trying to come up with ways to incorporate technology into my seventh grade math classroom. However, most of the software I have come across is too “busy” and seems to be too overwhelming for my LD students.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Take a peek at sunburst if you haven’t, especially the titles that have been around a while. They have a 30-day review option, so I”d set up the process of returning ones you don’t want and try lots of ‘em.

There’s a website - or used to be - at www.funbrain.com that has practice sites that might work. There’s a racecar that moves forward if the right answer to a single digit multiplication problem is punched in.

Another good math site is coolmath.com. It has tutorials on many skills as well as fun games for practice.

If online is an option then aaamath.com has *tons* of no-frills practice, though if I remember right the color scheme could induce seizures..

This system isn’t low-cost but I know two school districts that have made excellent math gains using it.
