LD,ADHA,AUTISM

Hello dear folk,
I don’t know quite where to begin. What is this society’s fascination with stigmatizing unique, beautiful, individual spirits as “ADHA”, or otherwise? We stuff these poor young people into an envronment that is totally unnatural and entirely unsuited to them, then wonder at the problems that innevitably arise therefrom?
I’m sure that i am out of my element here, amongst all the experts and Phd’s, but i shall press forward in any case.
What is this “every child a reader” (as i see on the walls of my local libraries) thing all about? Perhaps the bibliocentric, narrow view of accademia imposing itself upon upon all of society? What this limited scope of intelligence actually does is make the few kids who have little use for it (because they are too busy DOING things) feel bad about themselves. But that’s ok! Many folks available to help them feel better about themselves, after first informing them that they are deficient in some regard. (gee! thanks!)
As happened so often in class, my word limit is,…..

Sorry, but in the 21st century every child does need to be a reader IMHO.

I agree. I read the Little House books and can imagine my son. He would be a farmer. He wouldn’t be able to read but he’d have a wife who could and manage just fine. Today that image just won’t work.

So we keep trudging.
