lesson plans

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am a mainstream teacher in the middle school setting. I
see many ESE students each day.
What is the best way for me to document their
accomodations/modifications in my lesson plans?
Many of the students share the same accomodations
(extended time, shortened assignments etc) I am thining
of creating a spreadsheet that would list the names of the
students down the side and list of accomodations across
teh top. I would then put a mark in the intersecting box
indicating that the specific accomodation was used.
Is this specific enough?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I see 150
students per day. Out of the 150 aprx 45 have
accomodations or 504 plans.
Thank you

That sounds like it would work, or some kind of abbreviations you make up for each modification that you then write in the margin of your lesson plans. I would go with quick and easy, seeing how many students you are working with. It’s awesome that you’re taking the time to do this; most teachers don’t bother!
