Math teacher resigned, IEP is in 2 weeks what should I do?

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

My child is in 7th grade and everyone was working out of the Saxon books on their own. My child is working in book 5/4. We had bought a copy to have so we could go over what she does at home, but she does some at school which we don’t see (which is why I’m still trying to get school to let me in to look at work). She is doing very well with it so far,as she had done Saxon 3rd grade with our tutor. She had redone a couple tests and I am not sure what mistakes she made, but she did better the second time (different test). They do not have a permanent replacement yet. Our tutor is using math-u-see,we are going over addition, some subtraction, skip counting and so far we are seeing improvements with drills.Next week I should have WIAT score-My question is should we be waiting for the replacement math teacher before we do the math IEP portion . (The school wanted to wait until this time to do IEP so they had a good idea of how she is doing). Any suggestions of how I should proceed?
