My job's done- thanks for your help!

He was at high risk for reading problems, and we decided to homeschool in part because I was sure the whole language approach in the schools here would be a disaster for him. Many of you, especially Sue, Pattim, and Arthur, patiently answered my questions and provided lots of valuable insight. He had to work hard at reading, and progress seemed unbelievably slow for a long time, but finally everything clicked into place and now he reads easily and confidently.By the time I got through teaching him to read, his little brother was waiting in the wings, so it was back to abc’s and “a fat cat sat on a mat”. Today, the Magic Treehouse books I had ordered from Amazon arrived, and my 6 yo plunged right into “Dinosaurs Before Dark” and read the first two chapters with very little help. I thought I was going to read these books to him, but instead he read them to me. Hooray!Just wanted to share the good news, and thank everyone for the help and encouragement you’ve provided.Jean
