Phono-graphix Video Clip available how to present a lesson

For any parent trying to get their kid to improve their reading with the program Phono-grahix, they should check out this virtual parent link from readamerica. The lady models a lesson in the basic code and then the advanced code and she does a nice job. It’s new to me.

I was trained in PA this summer with this program. After teaching for years, I have never been as excited about reading as I have this year. I just tutored a young girl and her mom was quite amazed as her daughter transformed before our eyes in only a few short lessons. The mom will take it from here using the book Reading Reflex because I’m going on vacation but she got the jump start she needed. :D

You might have tried all kinds of tutoring in the past. I tutored for years before I had my own children. I never have been as successful so quickly with any other program. When I first started coming to ldonline.org I kept reading about PG this and PG that and I even thought that these people must be secretly posting for the company.

I just wanted you to know that I am an LD teacher who works in a public school and have nothing to gain by letting you know this. I am on a quest to get the word out that there is something that parents can do. Get involved. I was having lunch with a gal in a large group who I barely know and we started talking. Long story short, I ended up testing her daughter today with the PG test,….. a bright gal who needs a little work. SHe is so well behaved and likable with no behavior problems. Teachers have been telling her and the mom for years, Oh, she is so delightful, she’ll get in time and grow out of this, don’t worry. THE GIRL NEEDS HELP and by the time you are in upper elementary, very little help will happen for a poor decoder folks. THat is the reality.

If you are at this site you probably already know your child/ren has a need for something. Phono-graphix might just be “that something”. I encourage you to try it. Or if you can’t work with your own kid find another mom in the same boat and switch kids. Don’t wait another week. This mom today was so delighted that she thanked me a million times. I believe that somehow our lunch was meant to be and that this child will make huge improvements.

ANyway, if you are sitting on the fence without knowing what to do, then this post is for you. Some how I felt compelled to write this and maybe it was for you.
