Are any of you familiar with phonographix? Can you give me some info, success stories, etc.? Thanks
Re: phonographix
Hi Connie, I rarely go this board anymore, as I prefer to converse with teachers on the ReadNow site, but am hoping someone has answered your question by now!
I’m a PG therapist and trainer and yes, I have over 100 kids who have ALL had tremendous success with PG. Usually it takes me about 12 hrs. to get them well-versed in the code. during that time, if fluency comes fast (depends on the child) they are doing well with comprehension, too. If not, I keep them for a few extra hrs.
After tutoring for 20 yrs using Phonics, I am convinced there’s no better method than PG. I’ve used it with 4 yr. olds to 76 and kids with disabilities such as Down’s and it works.
Hope this is helpful. Also, read Reading Reflex, and also “Why our children can’t and what we can do about it.” You’ll get an education you won’t believe.
sincerely,
Leslie in S. CA.
Hi Connie, buy Reading Reflex first before you try any other program. The cost is under $20; the results are not to be believed. I’ve remediated over 100 children with it in the last 3 years…only a handful have taken longer than 12 hours (yes, I said 12 hours) and a couple of those had severe issues like Downs’. If you feel you can’t do it alone, go to their website (in the book) and look for a therapist. For around $500+ your child will read.
I have dozens of letters from parents who say I’ve changed not only the life of the child, but the family, as well. It’s not me; it’s the method (PG). Check it out.
sincerely, Leslie
