Predicting success

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Imagine you have been asked to predict which first grade students will be reading (and comprehending) at or above grade in third grade and which will be reading (and comprehending) below grade level in third grade. To help you accomplish this, you can have either the students’ Woodcock-Johnson Word Identification scores or their Woodcok-Johnson Word Attack scores. Which of these two measures would you pick and why?
