psychology paper

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am currently in an advanced psychology class. We are to write a paper on an aspect of educational psychology in an area that we have strong feelings for. I work with students who are dyslexic. I am having trouble coming up with a topic. I would like to do something unique as it relates to dyslexic children but not sure what.

Topics that others have choosen relate to self-esteem, motivation in the classroom, personality and how it effects learning, impact of calculators on math, bulling, test aniexty.

Any suggestions for possible topics?????

Thanks

Is your research to be with dyslexics or are you doing secondary research? It would help to know that.

If it were mine, I’d research how/why so few teachers really understand that there are dyslexics in their classrooms. Dyslexia was first described in 1910. What is the issue? And how many people is it thought manifest signs of dyslexia?

Ask teachers if they had any background or training in the understanding of dyslexia. Ask how they plan for the presence of dyslexics in their classrooms.
