Quotes of the Day

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hello,

I have put together and published the April 2001 “Quotes of the Day” for your
enjoyment.

My personal favorite has to be the note left on the windshield of a
Kansas legislator’s car which he had parked in a “handicap parking
zone” — on the same day a group of disability rights advocates were
gathering at the Capitol. The note read simply: “Hi Al, my name is
Kate. I couldn’t cross here because you blocked my ramp. Have a
good day.” You’ll find it in the “CRIME” section.

Rather than flood this list with copies, I’ve put together a web
page for you to review the quotes. Just go to
http://www.InclusionDaily.com
and click on “Last month’s Quotes of the Day”.

You’ll find notable quotes from these categories:
ACCESSIBILITY
ADVOCACY
COMMUNITY LIVING
CRIME
EDUCATION
EMPLOYMENT
FAMILIES
HISTORY
INSTITUTIONS
LAWS AND LEGISLATION
PARTICIPATION
SELF-DETERMINATION
TECHNOLOGY

I hope you like them.
