: I’m not sure I can answer that but if these students have such
: significant issues, why are they in heterogenous classrooms? Is
: there no other option for these kids?: How does modify a math curriculum to not include whole numbers?: And are they frustrated by the fact they can’t get a credit? They
: only get disruptive after they fail?: If they only get disruptive after they fail and they fail because
: their curriculum can’t be modified because they won’t get credit
: if the curriculum they can’t cope with is modified, then I’d do
: what I do sometimes. I lie. Or at the least I don’t share the
: truth. I have modified my curriculum for students to enable them
: to pass and I mentioned it to nobody. The kids are happy to pass
: the class, if the parents catch on they’re happy about it too.
: Actually, my administration is happy too if they find out about
: it. It’s other teachers who get upset.: I have students from time to time who are not up to it. They either
: have very challenged cognitive skills or have significant learning
: differences. I have one right now who would “flunk”
: every test I give. She can barely read the tests as her
: functioning vocabularly is so limited. If read to her, it doesn’t
: help. In the 5th grade, she does not know what a table of contents
: is. She doesn’t understand the word document when I ask them to
: open up a new document on a computer. The dear child often breaks
: into singing in the middle of a class because, as she says,
: “she doesn’t know what else to do.”: I’ll certainly pass her. I’ll pass her because there isn’t anything
: else to do with her. She should be somewhere learning all the
: vocab she doesn’t know. She shouldn’t be in my class where right
: now we’re trying to understand the complexities of the current
: presidential election!!: But she is. And so are your students. If there’s no where else for
: them to be, is that their fault? Is it their fault that they
: cannot credit for a class if it’s modified and they need it to be?: Do whatever they need to have done for them. If thye can’t be taught
: along with the class and so have them pass the tests, give them
: tests they can pass.: Are you familiar with the concept of civil disobedience? When your
: conscience tells you a law is wrong, the philosophy of civil
: disobedience says you may be break the law as in breaking the law
: you’re doing the right thing because … the law is wrong.: Good luck. thanks alot but most of us are gonna fail i really need help in math so if ppl read this can u plz e-mail me if u r good in this
