Has anyone used Singapore Math’s CD-Rom series? If so what did you think of them?
I’d be purchasing them for my non-LD child who is graduating 6th grade and has had terrible math teachers for the last few years.
Although she has no difficulites learning math, she has had very bad instruction. So I’m quite worried about the lack of instruction — and, in particular, her “understanding” of math.
Thanks for any suggestions or ideas!
Re: Singapore Math CD-Roms .... has anyone used these?
Hi Jean,
Thanks for sharing that! I’ll take a look!!! :-)
I did get lucky and find a local math tutoring clinic that is running a special pre-algebra summer “camp.” I’m going to enroll my daughter in it. Although I don’t think it’s going to make-up for two years of worthless math instruction (5th and 6th grade), it may help.
Again, thanks!
Laura,
I haven’t used these personally, but there are several people who post on the “Well Trained Mind” board who use Singapore Math and have used the CD’s. If you post there, you could probably get some info. Here’s the link - go to the Curriculum Board to ask about Singapore.
