Hey there everyone — I’m starting university over at first year after having spent two disasterous ones in an intensive philosophy course with no knowledge of my ADD (ouch).
Anyway this year the Ontario government has offered to give me an equipment grant. I’m requesting a laptop to take notes and class, and I’m looking at MindManager by MindJet Software (mindjet.com) as a way to organize my notes and thoughts.
My main problem is organizing all the notes, handouts, textbook outlines, and PowerPoint presentations that come flying my way on a daily basis from all these courses I’m taking.
Can anyone suggest any other software I should research that would help me organize the information from my classes?
Thanks!
You might also consider using Inspiration. It is similar to the mind manager software. One great thing it does is transform your web of ideas into an outline simply by hitting the “outline” function. You can use it to take notes in class and to organize your thoughts for papers, etc.
