I am just learning about this Reading First curriculum. Are you part of a Reading First school or are you a parent or employed by ReadOn? As I was reading through the article about ReadOn, it sounded like a good addition to the program. However, at times while reading it felt like an advertisement. Have you used this program? If so, was there any findings that disagreed with the article on how the features of ReadOn worked out and complimented the Reading First Curriculum?

I am a teacher of children with special learning needs, a parent of a child with a learning disability and co-founder of ReadOn Software. This report was produced in response to a number of requests from schools as to how ReadOn fits with Reading First. We apologize if the report sounds like an advertisement – that was definitely not our intention. Our hope is that the report provides answers to the many questions we have received regarding ReadOn and Reading First.

How can I find the ReadOn Software? I attended the Reading First conference last summer, and I absolutely loved it. It confirmed what I hoped was important to teaching reading, and I learned so much and got so many new ideas. I am not teaching at a Reading First school, but I feel strongly about the program.
