Anyone familiar with S.P.I.R.E (from EPS). I have the opportunity to take the 2 day training for this in my area. I have used Barton with my son this past year, and was thinking of moving to Wilson. His main problem is Spelling and multisyllabic words. I had some people tell me that SPIRE is used in some of the schools around the area and that it is really good. They say it has a lot of reading and exercises to choose from. It may be easier to pull spelling lists from than Barton. I know that it is OG based, so it should be a smooth transition from Barton. Anyone know anything about it?

Yup, it’s OG (and true to it) - so as des said, the more training, the better. It has been around for a while (but I think just not marketed for public consumption). It’s got a website - http://www.spire.org/ - Now EPS books carries it (I think exclusively) - www.epsbooks.com and they’ve probably got some info on it too. (Of course it’s going to be promotional - when I googled I found a few comments on discussion groups but nothing negative.)
