Surfin’ Sally also found a lot of Budget Meeting Minutes wherein a school system paid a few grand (e.g. $3,663) for the workshops.
Seems to be a Sopris West deal — SOpris West has a *wide* range of quality (I’ve looked at some slickie-quickies that were of the “50 teacher tips” style and rather lacked basic editing for typos, and others that obviously had gone through more rigorous development).

Shay has been teaching with Step Up to Writing for a long time. Michelle uses it, too. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I am not teaching writing at the moment, but I’d buy it if I ever had to.
