teaching reading and writing

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I’m studying to be a special education major at Illinois State University. For a class I was instructed to find out how current teachers use technology to teach reading and writing in content areas. Does anyone have any ideas?? I would appreciate them!

Using the WYNN program to assist in the reading of books, textbooks, tests, etc. The program also works well in writing since the students can hear what they have written. the program will also have a word prediction program in their newest version. Don Johnson also has Co:Writer and Write OutLoud which are useful in assisting students’ writing.
