Visuals help learning?

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I am researching this question:
Does a student learn better with a visual when a teacher gives auditory instructions?
If so, why.

If anyone has information that would supprt this research, please let me know.

Different students respond differently to different things — and what kind of auditory instructions, how complicated, and are they supported by written instructions?

There are an awful lot of uncontrolled variables in your question ;) In general, redundancy increases learning… unless you’re a bored, gifted kiddo.
