WASL

Any info on how to get help for a modified WASL test? If that even exists, for homeschooled kids. My daugter is in the 7th grade, being homeschooled by me.(her mother).

I am assuming this is for Washington state. Go to the website www.k112.wa.us they had this for assessment questions: [email protected] , hopefully they will be able to answer your question. I have called there before and they were helpful. According to my school district they will be using the WASL every year and you can take it up to 5 times to pass the 10th grade level. My concern is if I will be able to see progress from the results, so far my child has taken 4th grade WASL and 5th grade science WASL and didn’t come close to meeting standard. But then again only 75% met reading 49% met math and 59% met writing standards and only 32% met the science standard. The principal says they test low because of the transient population. I know of several other parents whose kids have been there since kindergarten and not doing well.-So hang in there with the homeschooling.
