Does anyone know of a web site that explains how to write bibliographies in APA format, but using clear, simple language that’s appropriate for 11 and 12 year olds? I DON’T want the many different ways to cite books with 1 author, 2 authors, 7 authors, a JR., etc, just a clear way to cite a book, an encyclopedia article, a web site, and magazines. Oh, the sooner, the better; I need to do this lesson this coming Tuesday.
Thanks!
Jenn
Re: Web site for writing bibliographies?
http://www.citationmachine.net/ is another option (that doesn’t require login).
http://www.liu.edu/cwis/CWP/library/workshop/citmla.htm has somereally nice simpleillustrations…
if you google “MLA citation” you will get gobs of teacher pages and can pick what will work best for you. It’s great that other folks have shared!
Re: Web site for writing bibliographies?
Oh, one more that just came over the wire on LM_NET:
http://library.acadiau.ca/tutorials/plagiarism/ — it’s a neat little tutorial. It’s Canadian.
http://noodletools.com/login.php is their kid version. Create a folder and then add the citations as needed. noodletools prints the bibliography in alpha order.
