Word processing tutorial

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Is there a site out there with a Basic Word Processing tutorial, covering Microsoft Word? I would like to set up my Special Ed/LD high school boys and girls with a self guided course that would instruct them in the basics of Word Processing with Word.

These are kids that are in a hurry to pull together credits in order to graduate high school.

Thanks

John

Usually free stuff is worth the price… but here are some things a search for +tutorial +Microsoft +word came up with from google.com:

For just keyboarding I’d highly recommend Diana Hanbury King’s “Keyboarding Skills” book (and it’s a book, not software, so you could even use it with a typewriter, which I’ve done in my resource room). It uses an approach that works well with special needs kids (she’s written other great materials for kids with dyslexia, too, including _Writing Skills for the Adolescent_). IT’s pretty cheap from epsbooks.com

For using word processors I really liked the tutorial from, I think, DEC but I couldn’t find anything online and that was a few years back.
