Erik’s LD Story

My name is Erik. I’m 14. My strengths are fixing cars and BMX freestyle. In my spare time, I work at my dad’s shop. He manages a Firestone car repair shop.

They discovered my LD in 3rd grade and it hasn’t been easy ever since. I’m taking this class that helps me cope with my LD. It has taught me a lot about LD. I am not stupid. It’s just hard for me to learn. The class has helped me understand my LD and learn about accommodations. For example, I try to use a PC when available or a notetaker because my handwriting is not very good. You should always see what is on your IEP.
