Does anyone have any ideas how I could locate the publisher of the ReadWell curriculum by Sprick, Howard, and Fidanque?
I transferred my first grade son mid year to a school using this curriculum, and I am very impressed by it. The curriculum incorporates lots of phoenemic awareness activites as well as writing. Matthew is making great progress in this program, but is very far behind. It is a mastery program and needs to be done in sequential steps, and since he is a mid year transfer, he is six months behind. I have asked the district to lend me a copy of the curriculum so I can work with Matthew over the summer, but I am afraid they will say no. I am also hesitant to ask them who the publisher is, because if they think I am willing to purchase it, they may be less motivated to lend it to me.
What I have seen comes in three ring binders looks like lots of black line masters. I have the Educator’s Publishing Service, Scholastic and the SRA cataloges and none of these publishers have this program. Just typing ReadWell into my search engine doesn’t work either. Any ideas?
Re: Looking for "ReadWell" Curriculum
Thanks so much! I have ordered what my son needs for less than $50! (I was afraid it would cost thousands!) The classroom teacher has already invited me to watch the class to learn the techniques, so I think I can manage without the training CDs.
