Shay, I presume you an excellent person to ask for advice when using PG. Well, I have used the Reading Reflex book on one middle school student and was wondering what to do next. I want to incorporate PG as a class teaching method for my 7th graders. I have 9 students at a time and was wondering how to go about teaching all my students this method. Oh, please email me or write me back,… thanks, becky
to get help from Shay any time . . .
Use the “search” button at the top of the page and look for her old posts. Some time earlier this summer she outlined her entire program. She is very good about helping, but why not help yourself to the textbook’s worth of material already out here too?
Re: to get help from Shay any time . . .
Hey, Victoria,
Someone could probably put together a pretty good book for teachers if we collected old posts from you, Shay and a few others around here! :-)
Janis
I'm trying to put together a faq . . .
and would love your favourite saved posts, websites, programs, and books, with short reviews on programs and books.
When I get enough stuff together it will be posted as an official faq with the help of our friendly local moderator.
Your friendly local moderator...
is listening. Just let me know whenever you’re ready to put something together, Victoria.
shay has written many things!!!..
I have done a search within the last 90 days of shay’s name. is there a certain post i should look for. it takes so much time to look through each one. I am not trying to be a bother, because when i taught math i had read just about every comment victoria had ever made!!!! just want to know how to go about this so i can get started asap. thanks
Re: shay has written many things!!!..
I really recommend getting Word Work as it will really answer most questions, but if you can’t, you do need to start by giving the PG tests to all the kids to see where they are. Word Work has a reproducible set of the tests included. Then you will know how to group your kids.

Becky,
I am glad you are trying to reach Shay…she is excellent and has helped me personally. I just want to insert that the instructions for Word Work almost tell you word for word what to say and do with a group of children. I mostly work one-on-one but wanted Word Work since it has reproducibles for all my students. I think it is $175….an investment…but really helpful and well organized.
