Terrific and tiring, as usual. Met and talked with Peter Wright at the book signing table. He’s a funny guy. There was some confusion about what name was to go in which book (there were two titles) when a friend and I had our books signed. After he had signed my book, he said to me “Now you spell ______ with a K right” which wasn’t my name. Then we had a good laugh as I opened my book to see that he had used my name to personalize his message afterall..

Missed Ann though. When she left a message on my cell phone, I didn’t realize who it was. But met and hung around with two mothers from another web site.

If anyone has a chance to attend in San Diego next year, don’t miss it. IDA’s conference covers more than reading related topics. There are advocacy and legal, ADHD, classroom modifications and accomodations, math, non verbal, and sometimes asperger’s and autism sessions to name a few. L. Starr

Sounds wonderful, Linda! I so wanted to go since I only live 3 hours from Atlanta. But I had another workshop that is part of a series that week, so it was impossible. Thanks for the report!

I had to miss this year’s IDA - but look forward to San Diego. New York’s Branch IDA is really worthwhile - at the Marriott Marquis. LDA will be at the Chicago Loop. Both should be well-attended with considerable expertise available.

Since I am a member of IDA, I get the catalog for New York’s IDA conference; and your are right Ken. It is always very good, and has a very large number of sessions and presenters. Anyone near NYC definitely should check into it.
