I really liked his research on fixation. There was one piece that analyzed artists’ eye fixations.
His work seems to indicate that your theories are really pretty valid.
He also helped me clarify why my son had difficulty with segmenting phonomes despite early speech. Apparantly children can develop the ability to segment syllables which are the basis for speech but segmenting phonomes is a different skill and it is that skill that is required for reading.

Yes, I’ve seen some of his research. A lot of it is available on his website, but it’s pretty tough reading unless you have a suitable background. (I don’t.) He seems to think that dyslexia has genetic roots, and that the phonological, visual and motor deficits seen in many dyslexics will turn out to have a common cause….Thanks…Rod
