What does the phoneme/grapheme knowledge subtest measure? How might poor performance on this subtest manifest itself in the real world? While I’m at it, info. on the Academic Fluency subtest would be appreciated as well.
What does the phoneme/grapheme knowledge subtest measure? How might poor performance on this subtest manifest itself in the real world? While I’m at it, info. on the Academic Fluency subtest would be appreciated as well.
My son scored quite low on that particular subtest, but not that poorly on word attack. So I was confused. Somewhere on this board I was told the phoneme/grapheme is the measure of how well they connect the sounds to the written letters. Not just hearing the sounds that make up words, but the connection between those sounds and the written letters. Hope that helps.
