I no longer receive posts via email. I wondered if this is because my profile says do not display my email address? I notice when I see my name on a post it is underlined, and you can click on it and another page appears saying my user name and number of posts. When I click on other people’s names, email comes up. Those that are in black print and are not underlined cannot be clicked at all.
I cannot keep up with new posts this way. I have no idea when someone is replying to me. I have really loved this board and I hate to give it up, but it has become very frustrating. The other bad thing is not seeing any posts posted at night or all weekend when many of us have time to “talk”.
I understand the need for people to register, but I feel that maybe too many steps were taken.

That is wonderful news! I can certainly be patient knowing that this is not the final version of the board!
LD Online is by far the best site on learning disabilites and this message board is a lifeline for a lot of people! My skills as a teacher have increased significantly from the people and information I have learned on the boards and articles.

I think I am getting the hang of this new stuff
When I first tried to post about 2 days ago it said my user name was already being used, but I guess I didn’t give it time to register my name. I am hoping this works now. I am keeping my fingers crossed :-P

Thanks for the update on the board software.
I hope the powers that be don’t choose a washed-out, hard-to-read color scheme as a default setting like the RR board did :)

This temporary system does not have that feature. A completely new system is being tested and will be available in a near future. A sample of that forum application can be found at:
