We have math blasters for 1st grade our child is in 3rd grade we are still using it as she has not quite gotten the concept of time and money. She does enjoy it .We have not gotten any other game so far as she has not completed this one.I am considering getting the quarter mile program but not until we can do the addition problems reasonably well on this one.

Hi, Have you tried reader rabbit math with the pirates. It has money and time games that helped my son who also had probs with those. manipulatives also worked for values. We’re still working on time concepts but I found that approaching it from a science angle is helping to unblock him. Copied picture of globe. Cut it out. On other side made a clock. We’re discussing and going over how it takes earth 24 hours to go around sun and 12 hours it is turning away and 12 hours it is turning toward so we have morning and afternoon etc. He seems to need a whole concept to put things in place. He can’t remember things that don’t seem connected to anything else. And for whatever reason working with coins never worked for him, but the cusainaire rods did.
Thanks for input on mathblaster wondered if would be as good as reader rabbit.

UK Mum, Once you have the global (universal?) concept of time thing done, please look at my post above about a really good book for teaching time—I bought it online from either Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
