I developed a basic arithmetic learning program for my son who has ADHD. It serves for learning tables and long multiplication and division and operates in Microsoft Word (VBA). My son finally got the tables to “stick” after 12 x 3 minute sessions. It’s yours free if you send your e-mail.
Catch: I would appreciate hearing whether it does any good or not.
Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free

Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free
Please send your Basic Arithmetic Program which is free. I would appreciate anything that would help my 2 sons learn math. Do you have anything that would help learn addition and subtraction? I have struggled with these 2 boys since kindergarten and nothing has worked. They have ADHD (the one boy) and ADD (the other boy) and are mentally impaired. Bless your heart for trying to help other parents. Thanks
Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free
Thank you for the offer. My son is not ADD but has several LDs and memory is his biggest obstacle. We have tried many programs to help him memorize his basics. Would love to try it out and give feedback for our situation with memory issues.
Any Program Ideas Out There?
Betty asked about a program for learning addition and subtraction. If anyone has any good ideas for a program for +/- or any other learning areas (but lacks programming skills) I would like to hear them.
Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free
Please send your basic arithmetic program. I have two special ed boys. One with SLD/ADHD and the other LD. They continue to struggle with math.
Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Problems
I’d like to try your program with my LD class of 7th graders. Will be happy to provide feedback.
Must have MS WORD installed
I forgot to say that the program runs on Microsoft Word. If your computer doesn’t have Microsoft Word installed, the arithmetic program won’t work.
Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free
I am looking for a math program for a learning disabled 14 year old student who has high verbal skills; in fact he is 100% bilingual ( Spanish/English). I tutor him in language skills and have seen that he has the ability to reason with numbers. I would appreciate seeing your program and would certainly let you know if it helps my student. Thanks,
Rebecca Cooley

Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free
I’d love to have a copy of your program. I teach at a private Special Ed. school where such a program would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Note to Hotmail Users
Please be advised that the Arithmetic Program is about 800K in size. Hotmail limits its clients to a total of 2000K in user space. This means that in order to receive the attachment you must have at least 800K (or 40% unused) of available space.
This applies to any other free e-mail service that is similarly limited for space.
If your Hotmail is full you can still send for the program by opening another (temporary) Hotmail account with a different username.
Remember also that you must have Microsoft Word installed on your computer in order to open the program.
Thanks,
Brian

Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free
Hi, I’d really like to see if your math program does the trick. My 10-year-old just can’t seem to “get” the multiplication tables — the numbers don’t mean anything to him (he’s in a GT program but still has trouble with telling time, calendars, anything that is only a “number” — spatial problems).
Anyway, I’ll be glad to let you know how he is doing.
Thanks

Re: Basic Arithmetic Program - Free
If you don’t mind sending your materials, that would be great!
I have an ADD son and an autistic daughter. Both have problems with math.
I would appreciate you sending me your arithmetic program. My son is 9 yrs old and ADD he had a lot of trouble learning the multiplication tables in the 3rd grade he is entering the 4th grade this year (school starts Aug. 8th.) and his teacher told me that she would be reviewing multiplication for the first six weeks. We have been having him do multiplication all summer long so that he would not forget them. I wish more parents were like you and would be willing to share things that work for their children. thanks Again. Teresa Sewell
